The flying dutchvan departed sunny hempstead 4:19 pm friday May 22nd 2009. Memorial weekend traffic was anticipated and "The Road Warrior" (Sean Lucas) was in for the long haul. Traffic as expected was rough on the Belt Parkway, Staten Island Expressway, and parts of delaware but "The Flying Dutchvan" ate up whatever we could throw at it. "Doolbox" manned the stereo with unprecedented poise and solid portfolio of classics including "500 Miles" by The Proclaimers and"Club Love" by Taylor Swift and Usher. The last minute roof rack tie-down served as a volleyball net for the boys on the way down, Let's just say things got intense. "Doolbox" started a tallie of all the nods, thumbs up, and honks the bus is receives as it treverses the land of the free. Delaware holds a strong lead, as the Delwarians cheered on the The Freedom Tour with timely precision and valor. True Americans here in the middle atlantic. Rolled into Dewey hot with the now well seasoned road warrior on point. Arriving at the Prifte residence we were greeted by Genivieve Prifte and an ample supply of "lax sodas" The night was concluded with a terrific game introduced by "Putty Loosebolt" known as "The Freedom Tour" and Peanut Butter and Jellie sandwiches. The next morning we were greated by the Prifte's and Legends Bob McGrath and John Michael Tenet. We spent the day on the beach, eating crabs, and drinking cocktails.
Till next time, God Bless America!
"The Road Warrior"
