Tough One!

Well I'll officially take the blame for the dutch losing last night. Jinxed us right from jump street. Almost mounted a comeback in the final minute. Tough loss for the boys. As per usual Denap, Skudin, and Holman played their ass off. Just weren't clicking on offense early. Hopefully we squeak into the NCAA's.

Way to be on "it" America

Seal Team six shot Osama in between the eyes. Received intelligence confirming a head shot from shueberty. Linking up Sat-Com with Jack-Hammer to verify. Who would have thought Pakistan would have been harboring him? What a shocker...

Alumni Night

So last night the Dutchman continued there winning streak and beasted Penn State in the Dutchdome. Coincidentally it was Alumni Night, let's just say there were a few turnpike guys at the game. After the game a bunch of the Alum's headed down to LB to enjoy some Dutch camaraderie and turnpike tradition. There was one hammer in attendance who really stole the show..

Can you name that "Turnpike Guy"?

Hint, he's wearing a salmon polo. and it's not gc

HEYDAPUDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Hey day ya ****** ****y's,

Some time around February I received an email regarding some showdown in someone shoe. Apparently since we last spoke in 2009 Patty Loosebolt had one a National Championship to Ohio State. Who would have thunk it? The email went something like,

Dear Dutch,

You f****n guys should f****n come f****n out f****n to this f****n place it's f****n awesome.

Love Pooty

with little confidence in any thing coming of it, I immediately disregarded the email...Until S. Prifte AKA Woad Rarrior with help from Tom Shueberty grabbed the Dutchmen by the horns and got the ball rolling on this trip out to visit Pooty and watch the Fairfield Stags play some lax.

With a few hundred of the funniest emails ever written by human hands the trip was on. The Prifte's arranged to rent a 30 some odd foot r.v. and the date was set to depart Hamilton NJ April 22, 2011 @ 11:30ish. And what in sued would here on become "The Freedom Tour 1.5"
The roster included all 8 of the original crew plus
-Wattttyyyyy
-The "other" Brant
-And gunner

Woad Rarrior took the helm first and absolutely dominated, 10 or so hours later we had arrived in Columbus. Pulling up to meet Pooty we notice to Hammers running at the R.V. 1. "Pooty Laying Pots" and 2. "Your Hammerness" (T.I.)

Much to our suprise T.I. hopped on a plane after work.

I would keep blabbering but the trip is better summed up by a quick video I put together:

Update from the Shuey's house (23 months late)

Welcome back America,

It's been a while since we last spoke. I'd formally like to apologize for not capping off The Freedom Tour 1. I was going to write a final blog but I just went on living my life, sorry.

I'll start off from where we last left off to the best of my recollection, which is a bit hazy to say the least. I believe we left N.O. and drove straight on to Texas. At which point we were greeted by the Shueberty's and shown plenty of hospitality. At this point everyone was pretty much shot and we started booking our flights home. It pains me to this day that we didn't "stay on it" and drive on to California, but I digress.

My last recollection is slamming down Bloody Mary's in the airport TGIF. This Photo was taken shortly after, note the level of penisey on Steve's face. Pungent.

So where do I go from here...
Well In the near two years not much has happened regarding The Freedom Tour.... Until a few months ago when S. Prifte got a genius idea. To drive out to see Pooty layin Pots in an R.V. More of that Later. With much regret it pains me to inform you that the Liberty Bell was sold, to a Mexican. What a crying shame.

I apologize for this weak blog, it's been a while. The good news is that the Freedom Tour Spirit is alive and well and there will be many more blogs to follow.

I'll leave you with some pictures from "The Freedom Tour"

Expect another post in 15 minutes.

notes from the road: Bourban street, wrestling gators, and a Texas sunset

Welcome back America, a lot has happened since we last spoke. We arrived in New Orleans (nawlens) Louisiana at 7:14 pm on Friday May 29. We quickly setup at the Marriot on Canal Street, the "Liberty Bell" looked remarkable in the plush marriot parking garage, and was a joy for the valet staff to handle. We quickly showered up and hit Bourban street (keiths pronunciation: bore bon). We had a blast strolling the historic street, and let me tell you that place is truly insane! We enjoyed delicious Hurricanes from "Pat O`s" and and Hand Grenades from "Tropical isle". The night was concluded with an intense game of molecules in the hotel elevator.

Saturday: The day that will live in infamy. It started off like any otherwith a late wakeup due to an overabundance of alcohal somehow deposited into our bloodstreams and livers. We eventually came to and decided to stroll the "Freedom quarter" previously known as the french quarter. We ate a scrumptions breakfast than headed down towards river street, passing one of the numerous tourist shop we noticed an airboat adventures fan boat tour at a special price, $35 (typically $55) we quickly jumped on the great oppurtunity and booked the 2pm tour. Six of the boys decided to go (putty layin pots, shueburt, choppas I & II, the Road Warrior, and Randy Gorson or was it Adam Swarson? Regardless of who's alter egos boarded the fan boat that day, they were in for an unbelievable experience. Our seasoned fan boat guide was a legend in his own right, 5'2 215 pounds of pure louisiana alligator arms and a barely understandable swamp dialect this guy new his alligator shit. We cruised the bayou through swamps, marshes, and bogs. We we were all lucky enough to see a half dozen American Alligators close as well as bass, mullet fish, herons and a multitude of other species. The highlight of the day was when a foolish girl was dumb enough to put her finger near the baby alligators mouth.(yeah we got to handle a baby freakin alligator) The cute little devil got a mouthfull of asian fillange. What was she thinking? We continue to wonder, did she think it was fake? Or his gaping mouth wouldn't close when she put her finger near it? Regardless we got a kick out of it.

Back in the french quarter doolbox and tbone enjoyed live music on the missippi, crawdads, and stopped in at the famous cafe du monde.

Saturday night was spent again boosecruising Bourban street, highlights included intoxicated women with no self respect embarrasing themselves, more hurricanes, and a great fight between a loud mouth initiator and a humble man. The humble man made quick work out of the loud mouth, 1 point for America.

Sunday: getting out of bed was again a task but the boys were able to muster the strength and we departed at 12:06 with the road warrior taking the reins. After 407 miles (7 hours) behind the wheel he had to throw in the towel and hand it over to trudging steve.
We are currently 20 miles from our final destination, Dallas Texas. We will be arriving at our destination shortly. Wed like to thank everyone for their support! America is truly a beautiful country, and one worth fighting for.

Expect a full blog from the Shueys home with the best pictures from our journey! Their are truly some great ones.

I will leave you with alternative names we have come up with for the trip at different times when we got penisy.

The starvation tour
The celebacy tour
The dissapointment tour
The rip off tour
The verizon store tour
The automated teller machine tour
The appeasement tour
The vacancy tour
The no tip tour

Until next time,
God Bless America!
The Road Warrior over and out.
